On October 11th, the longest mobile artwork ends its long journey across Europe with a brilliant event at the Port of Rotterdam. From there, one container will be shipped to Santiago, Chile, where the next UN Climate Conference (COP25) will begin on December 2nd.
Together with the Port of Rotterdam, Rail Freight Forward is hosting an anniversary event as a celebration of all the accomplishments Noah’s Train has made in the past year. So far the campaign has reached more than four million people, who recognised the train and are now aware of the rail freight transport's ability of climate protection as well as the goal of Rail Freight Forward, that is, shifting 30% of freight to rail until 2030 in order to save CO2 and protecting the climate.
Noah's Train’s journey began December 2018 at COP24 in Katowice, Poland and made its way through cities across Europe. During its journey it has visited Vienna, Berlin, Paris, Brussels, Rome, Leipzig, Munich, Dudelange (Luxembourg), Riga, Madrid and Barcelona.
Ending its long European journey at the Port of Rotterdam, a new adventure begins in Chile! However, the message remains the same: Rail Freight Forward aims to shift 30% of freight transport from the roads to the rails by 2030 and thus align economic growth with the climate goals.
