A fully spray-painted Noah's Train arrives in Brussels

Arriving in Brussels for the fifth stop on its European tour, Noah’s Train gave occasion to more than 200 European and Belgian to discuss the concrete action plan the rail freight sector has to positively impact climate, mobility and public health. Prominent members of ngo’s, federations, political parties, ports, universities and many industry organisations endorsed the ambitious plan of doubling rail freight volumes by 2030.

Geert Pauwels, ceo of Lineas and founding member of Rail Freight Forward: “It is great to see a large support base for modal shift to rail across the stakeholder spectrum. We have a clear ambition and we now have to speed up the process of implementation. I call on everyone to help make it happen – this is the only sustainable option to avoid massive negative impact of the expected 30% transport growth.”
